The instant Little Cai finished speaking, a portly man in blue emerged from the boulder with a bitter smile.

“Blue Sea Star greets the honored lady of the Vermilion Guard Clan.”

Little Cai had paid him no particular attention at first, but upon hearing this, her expression changed abruptly. Unable to contain herself, she exclaimed, “You know who I am?!”

At that, the blue fatty’s expression finally eased a little.

If she truly belonged to that side, then she could kill him without needing any reason at all. Since he had revealed her identity and she had not immediately attacked, there was still a chance that he might survive. Even so… if he had a choice, he would rather give up the opportunity in the Grand Mystery Space than encounter this woman.

He was just about to explain when Little Cai suddenly gave an “Oh~,” her face lighting up with realization.

“So you’re from the Five-Star Realm Ruins. No wonder you were able to see through my identity. Your ability is quite interesting. Stay by my side.”

“Yes, my lady!”

The blue fatty let out a long sigh. Sure enough, he had failed to escape.

He had originally intended to muddle through with some other excuse, but she had recognized him outright. What else could he do?

On the bright side, he no longer had to worry about his safety. Breaking through to become a true Dao Venerable would even be within easy reach. But once he became entangled with this woman, he had already embarked upon a road from which there was no return. As for the ending…

At the thought, his face grew even more bitter.

“Come. Follow me to meet the Young Master!”

After sending a blood-red mark into the blue fatty’s body, Little Cai’s expression finally improved, and she spoke with a hint of excitement.

There was actually someone else from that side coming too?

The blue fatty was slightly stunned, then shook his head with a bitter smile.

So what if there was another person? He had already made his way here, and whether one or two people had come made little difference. He had assumed that Tulu was also a member of the Seven-Colored Giant Dragon Clan.

…

At that moment, in a blood-red forest, Tulu was surrounded by five people.

The five ranged from old to young, all dressed in the same attire. They clearly belonged to the same faction, with the short young man in the middle faintly serving as their leader.

But that was not what made Tulu’s expression turn grim. What he found most unbelievable was that the magical power within his body had actually been sealed. He possessed cultivation but could not use it. Worse still, he could not even inspect his dantian or inner palace. The magical treasures and artifacts within him had completely severed their connection with him, and even his blood and vital energy had grown sluggish and heavy.

In other words, at present he could display, at most, the peak of the Mountain-Moving Realm. He could not even control the power of the Sea-Filling Realm.

Although the might of his Sacred Physique meant that, even with only peak Mountain-Moving cultivation, he could unleash the strength of the half-step Violet Mansion Realm, he was still far too weak.

The auras of the people before him were vast and terrifying. Though he could not determine their exact strength, they were certainly beyond anything he could contend with in his current state.

What kind of hellish place was this?

“Boy, you just came from a minor plane, didn’t you? I can’t believe you’re only at the Violet Mansion Realm. What an incredibly weak world that must have been. Still, this young master won’t make things difficult for you. We’re planning to explore a hidden tomb and happen to be short one person to scout the way. You’ll do it. What do you say?”

The short young man spoke indifferently. Though phrased as a question, his tone was unmistakably threatening.

The other four surrounded him from four directions, radiating an oppressive and terrifying force.

Tulu’s expression was grim, but he had no choice.

The short young man’s words sounded pleasant on the surface—sending him ahead to scout the way—but in truth, he was ordering Tulu to throw away his life. In particular, an unexplored hidden tomb meant certain death. If he agreed, he would almost certainly perish, to say nothing of the fact that he did not even know where he was.

But the situation left him no choice. These people clearly had no intention of letting him go. He could not sense even his magical treasures, and he possessed no means of fighting back. His magical power could not be summoned, and he could not even fly through the air. He was incapable of risking his life in battle.

With that thought, Tulu clenched his teeth and nodded firmly.

“All right!”

“Good!”

The short young man laughed heartily. Then he took a pill from his robe.

“Since you’ve agreed, swallow this Poison King Pill. It will remain harmless for ten days. After that, if you do not receive the antidote, you will die without fail. But don’t worry. Once we finish exploring the tomb, this young master will naturally give you the antidote.”

“What?!”

Tulu’s expression changed drastically.
