The servant representative turned, took a deep breath before the door, and with the grim determination of a hero embarking on a journey of no return, pushed it open.

The room was in total disarray, resembling the aftermath of a world war. Every piece of furniture that could be smashed, torn, or kicked had been decimated. Even the high ceiling was splattered with coffee stains from a hurled cup, not to mention the expensive vintage crystal chandelier, which was now so mangled it could only be identified by the shards scattered on the floor.

The unlucky servant’s heart sank at the sight of the wreckage. However, since the others had heartlessly pushed him forward as cannon fodder, he had no choice but to fulfill his role.

Alas, this was the fifth time! Not the first, not the second, but the fifth! And yet, this young lady had only been awake for a mere five days!

The servant mourned his miserable fate for a few seconds before forcing a respectful smile, though he was weeping internally. He asked cautiously, "Miss, you..." He seemed to be weighing his words, careful not to incense his master who was on the verge of eruption. After a pause, he continued softly, "Miss, you have been exercising for so long; you must be exhausted, right?" He took a quiet step toward the door. "What would you like to drink? I can go fetch it for you immediately."

The person sitting on the edge of the bed, panting heavily, whipped her head around, her eyes shooting a vicious glare at the servant.

The servant was startled, clutching his chest as if struck by a thousand arrows. He didn't even dare to breathe loudly, keeping his eyes on the furious girl, ready to flee at a moment's notice.

"Get out!" With that roar, the servant dropped to his knees, but a flicker of courage propelled him to crawl out of the room on all fours.

Finally, the room fell into complete silence. A meter of sunlight spilled into the room, casting its glow upon the frail figure. The girl sitting on the bed was startlingly beautiful; her long, silky, jet-black hair draped over her thin shoulders. Her features were as exquisite as a painting, especially those sparkling violet eyes that were particularly captivating.

Just then, the girl suddenly clutched her head with both hands, her brows furrowed tightly. She bit her pink lips with pearly teeth, slowly sliding off the bed to bury her head between her knees, letting out a painful moan.

"So... so painful... My head... it hurts so much..."

Who am I? Who on earth am I? Why does my head ache so much whenever I try to think about it, as if it’s about to split apart?

The girl gripped her head tightly, wishing she could crack it open and reorganize everything inside. Overcome by agony, she pounded her head with her fists, hoping to dull the pain, but it was useless. The pain persisted, growing even more intense.

Sinking from the bed to the floor, she curled her small body into a ball. One hand clutched her head, while the other gripped the shaggy carpet so hard she didn't even realize she was tearing out clumps of the fabric. Driven to the brink of insanity by the torture of her headache, she began banging her head against the floor. Her blood-crusted lips kept murmuring, "Pain... my head... it hurts so much..."

When the servant returned with Dr. Bentley, they found the white shaggy carpet looking like a bald man's head, patchy and torn. But that was not the most terrifying sight—it was the girl on the floor, curled up like a shrimp in boiling water.

The once-beautiful girl was now as pale as paper, her lips stained with blood. Most shockingly, her smooth, fair forehead was a mess of bright red, and the glistening liquid trickled down her thin face. Beside her, the blood-soaked carpet looked like blooming spider lilies—bewitching and striking.

The servant and Dr. Bentley gasped in unison, standing frozen in shock at the sight of the girl, who was barely recognizable. It wasn't until she moaned in pain again that they snapped back to reality.

"Quick, help her onto the bed! I’ll administer the sedative!" Dr. Bentley shouted.

Following the doctor's orders, the servant cast aside his fear and rushed forward to lift the girl from the depths of her hell. Dr. Bentley quickly removed his medical bag, drew the sedative into a syringe, and prepared to inject her.

"Let go of me! Don't... touch me..." Though physically weak, the girl stubbornly pushed the servant away, refusing to let anyone near.

As she broke free from his support, she fell again, her palm landing on a shard of broken glass. Blood instantly stained the white carpet, but the girl seemed oblivious to the pain. As she recoiled from the servant, more "spider lilies" bloomed across the rug.

"What are you doing? Hurry and get her back onto the bed!" Dr. Bentley roared at the servant, turning around with the syringe only to find the girl had injured herself further in seconds.

The servant, looking helpless, stammered, "But... but... Miss won't let me touch her!"

In truth, although the young lady was constantly throwing things in fits of rage, and they were terrified, they felt a deep sense of pity for her. She didn't throw things without reason; her head was simply in unbearable pain, and she used the destruction to distract herself.

Dr. Bentley looked at the girl, who was dodging the servant like a wounded animal, and sighed, a flicker of compassion in his eyes. Finally, he waved at the servant and said helplessly, "Go and fetch Miss Avril."

"Yes!" The servant let out a sigh of relief and ran out of the room.

Dr. Bentley looked at the blood-covered girl, crouched down, and said in a coaxing tone, "Eva, be a good girl. I won't hurt you." He gestured to her bleeding forehead and palm. "Look, you're hurt and bleeding. Let me bandage you, okay?"

The girl gazed at his gentle face, but instead of complying, she grabbed a piece of broken porcelain from the floor and hurled it at him without hesitation. "Get out!"

*Swoosh.*

The sharp ceramic shard grazed Dr. Bentley's handsome face, leaving a thin red line from which blood trickled down his fair skin. He pulled back his hand and wiped the red streak; a tiny flower of blood bloomed on his finger. He looked at the stark color, but instead of getting angry, he sighed helplessly. His gaze toward the girl held a mix of pity and an indescribable emotion.

The girl, however, remained guarded, showing no remorse for injuring him.

At this tense moment, a series of urgent yet elegant footsteps echoed, and a voice, as gentle as celestial music, pierced the awkward atmosphere. "What's wrong?"

Dr. Bentley turned to see an angelic lady entering the chaotic room. With her long, golden wavy hair, fair skin, and sea-blue eyes, she radiated a pure, saintly aura that made anyone who saw her feel a sense of reverence.

Her gaze swept over the doctor’s face before settling on the pitiful girl in the corner. Her large blue eyes softened with a sigh of resignation.

She walked toward the girl, opened her arms, and said softly, "Eva, darling, come here. Come to your sister." With an angelic smile, Avril reached out her warm embrace and stepped closer.

The girl’s defenses crumbled under Avril’s radiance. As she watched Avril approach and gently gather her into a warm embrace, the girl looked at her with a hint of confusion in her eyes.

Taking the opportunity, Dr. Bentley silently plunged the needle into the girl's arm, injecting every drop of the sedative.

The girl was so focused on Avril that she didn't even notice the injection. She stared at Avril with hazy violet eyes until they grew clear and bright. Then, she asked in an innocent voice, "Sis...ter...?"

"Yes, that's right, sister," Avril nodded with a smile.

Upon seeing the nod, the girl curled her lips into a faint smile—the first one she had shown in this house. Her head tilted, and she fell fast asleep in Avril's arms. Her soft, rhythmic breathing became the only sound in the quiet room.

Avril looked down at the girl sleeping in her arms, a trace of doting affection flashing across her lips before she even realized it. She calmly handed the girl to Dr. Bentley, who bent down to lift the skeletal child onto the bed and carefully tucked her in.

Then, he turned to Avril, who had walked over to the bedside. "Miss—"
