"Excellent, very efficient, I'm quite satisfied!"

Aceves strode forward barefoot, his face alight with excitement, and tore open the burlap sack, revealing the unconscious face of a young girl inside.

Sweat clung to her smooth skin, her complexion pale as if she were on the verge of collapse from the rough journey.

His smile froze. He quickly opened the other sack.

The girl within was in the same condition.

"Damn it!"

At the sight of the girls' haggard faces, Aceves's delight instantly turned to fury.

"Didn't I tell you—ingredients must be kept fresh! You've brought my ingredients to me in this state—how am I supposed to enjoy them?!"

He roared as he leaped, his mouth stretching open at a grotesque angle, and slammed the burly white man who had carried the girls to the ground, tearing into him with savage bites!

Like a beast on the hunt!

Blood sprayed as the man's struggles ceased within moments, leaving him a cold corpse.

Aceves licked the blood from his lips, baring his rows of sharp teeth in anger.

"This is what happens to those who disobey orders!"

"Master Aceves, please calm your anger."

At that moment, four elderly men entered the secluded woodland courtyard, all bowing to the golden-haired youth in unison.

"Fine ingredients are always worth the patience of waiting, would you not agree? Before that, the four great families have prepared a small appetizer for you."

As his words faded, a young girl dressed in a pale yellow gown, with smooth, tender skin, was carried forward.

Her face twisted in terror as she stared at Aceves, unable to utter a single word. Just a few hours ago she had been walking the streets of her own city, and the next second, she had been snatched away and brought here.

"Not bad. Looks delicious too!"

"Very well. Take them to my pasture first, raise them well, and I'll enjoy them in a few days." Aceves grinned, baring his teeth, his earlier displeasure swept clean away.

"And since you old bastards delivered this gift personally, I'll make an exception—you'll be permitted to join in the feast!"

With that, he waved his hand grandly.

A massive iron table fitted with four shackles was carried up by the servants.

Hearing this, the four old men's faces turned grim.

"Master Aceves, we still have matters to attend to, so if you'll excuse—"

"Oh? You dare defy me?!"

Aceves's expression shifted. His piercing blue eyes flashed to a bloodred hue as he coldly swept his gaze across them.

"We wouldn't dare! We wouldn't dare!"

The old men immediately cowered, obediently shuffling over to the table and taking their seats.

Then they watched as the terrified girl was forcibly dragged up by the servants, pressed onto the tabletop, and her limbs locked firmly into iron shackles!

"Let me go!"

The girl let out a shrill scream. Though she had no idea what was about to happen, instinct told her she was in mortal danger.

The white man lying in a pool of blood was a warning!

"What do you people want?! I'm the daughter of the Wang family of Xiangbei City! If you hurt me, my father will never let you get away with it!"

"The Wang family? A piddling little conglomerate like a sesame seed, and you dare call yourself a family?" Aceves licked his lips, drawing a sharp carving knife from behind his back.

"Dear friends, where shall we start today?"

His bloodred eyes gleamed as he turned to ask the four old men.

Moments later, from deep within the estate, came the girl's anguished screams—screams that rang on and on, only fading slowly after a quarter of an hour.

About an hour later, the four old men emerged, supporting one another.

"Old Zhai, we can't go on like this!"

The white-haired man at the front suddenly slammed his fist into the wall, turning to shout at the old man in the suit.

"This is sickening!"

"No matter how you look at it, we're still human! How can we devour our own kind like wild beasts..."

"And just watch her being cut open alive."

He could no longer hold it in—he doubled over against the wall and vomited violently.

The old man in the suit, known as Old Zhai, let out a helpless sigh. "It's too late to back out now. We're riding a tiger—we can't get off!"

"But Aceves's family is truly too powerful. Don't forget, they're an important member of the North American Paranormal Federation!"

At those words, the other two fell silent, words catching in their throats.

That's right—the Paranormal Federation.

It was a colossal organization of paranormals with influence spanning the globe, and the Aceves family held a major seat within it!

They were the legendary werewolf clan!

A savage people, bloodthirsty and fond of raw flesh, possessing overwhelming combat prowess and terrifying vitality. They had once rampaged across white nations.

It was only after the Paranormal Federation intervened that the family had finally reined itself in.

And when Aceves had first arrived in Yingtian City to expand his influence, they—the old patriarchs of Yingtian's great families—had been the first to flock to his side in support.

In their desperation to strengthen their families, they had discarded every shred of morality!

They catered to his every perverse demand without question, and when Aceves demanded to devour young girls' organs raw, they had racked their brains to abduct girls from the nation of Dragon!

To this day, more than fifty young women had met their end in his belly, while over a dozen more languished in captivity, livestock awaiting the slaughter!

Utterly devoid of scruples!

By now, they had become the ghostly accomplices of the tiger that was Aceves—severed from escape, unable to break free.

"Heh."

At that moment, a short, gaunt old man with long hair let out a mocking laugh.

"Worried that if this cannibalism ever comes to light, we'll face judgment from the powers above?"

"With the Aceves family's authority, such a trifling matter can easily be smoothed over through diplomatic negotiations!"

"And if it all blows up in our faces, we can simply follow the young master abroad!"

"I've already been transferring assets in secret, after all. Most of my funds have been moved into neutral banks—I can pack up and leave at any moment."

The short old man said smugly.

"Then that's that. Let's just hope the young master won't abandon us."

The other three raised their heads and exchanged glances, a chill settling in their hearts.

Indeed, they had long prepared themselves for a getaway. But the Nation of Dragon and Yingtian City were still their homeland; none of them wanted to leave their roots behind for good.

Just as they were speaking, however, they suddenly felt a subtle shift in the air.

A tall young man in a hooded sweatshirt and casual sneakers had appeared before them out of thin air.

The youth was handsome, tall, and broad-shouldered, his hands buried in his pockets as he studied them with deep, piercing eyes.

"That thing you just mentioned—Aceves. What's that all about?"

!!!

In an instant, the four old men's hearts jolted, disbelief written across their faces.

When had this man appeared beside them?

And those things they'd been discussing just now—had he heard it all?!
