Boom!

With a heart-stopping explosion, lightning snaked and intertwined, weaving a web across the low sky. In that instant, the eyes of everyone in the helicopter squad were filled with indescribable terror and regret.

There was only one thought left in their minds: Why, why did they provoke this god of slaughter?

“Come!”

As the thunder drew near, Ye Tian swung his blade. In a flash, countless bolts of lightning twisted and coiled, rising like a dragon’s head in the sky, instantly engulfing all seven helicopters.

Moments later, the storm of thunder faded, and the oppressive clouds that seemed ready to crush the city vanished as well.

In the now-clear sky, the remnants of the helicopters disintegrated midair, fragments raining down everywhere…

The helicopter squad was utterly annihilated!

Half an hour later.

A new fleet of numbered attack helicopters raced to the scene, landing on a nearby plain.

“Mr. Ye.” Tang Long led the rescue team, quickly lifting the unconscious Gu Qingcheng onto a stretcher before approaching Ye Tian.

Ye Tian stood with his hands behind his back, gazing impassively down the mountain.

Tang Long followed his gaze, and upon seeing the devastation at the foot of the mountain, he couldn’t help but gasp.

Seven or eight armored helicopters, each equipped with heavy machine guns—the toppled trees and dense craters on the mountainside bore testament to their overwhelming firepower.

And yet, who could have imagined that such formidable force was dispatched to deal with Ye Tian alone?

What terrified Tang Long most was that these helicopters were now nothing but twisted wreckage, while the man responsible stood unscathed!

Was he even human?

Such terrifying destructive power and combat ability—this was far beyond anything a master of the Northern Dipper realm could achieve. Even the legendary Martial Kings would have been bloodied in the aftermath.

The secrets this man harbored were beyond imagination.

It was true: once, in the former Dragon Nation, there were experts capable of ripping apart planes and tanks with their bare hands—like Tang Zhenguo at his peak.

But by then, Tang Zhenguo was already over fifty, his martial talents fully exhausted. After that age, he made no further progress, and as the years passed, his strength only waned.

But Ye Tian was not yet twenty!

At his age, others were still dreaming of future greatness, yet Ye Tian had already reached the pinnacle they aspired to.

It was daunting, enough to send chills down one’s spine.

Tang Long couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. If Ye Tian continued on this path, he would stir up storms across the vast Dragon Nation.

A man like this must never be made an enemy.

After collecting his thoughts, Tang Long spoke in a low voice, “Young Master Ye, on the Qian family’s side, Qian Wanbao and his direct relatives have all been apprehended.”

“Good. I’ll return with you all shortly.”

“And my senior sister? Is she safe?”

After a moment’s pause, Ye Tian added, “She’ll be fine once the shrapnel is removed and she has some rest. Please assign some men to watch over her for a while.”

His fury earlier, his determination to fight that squad to the death, had all stemmed from the sight of his senior sister’s grievous injuries.

She could have fled immediately, yet chose instead to shield him, taking bullets meant for him, her flesh torn and life hanging by a thread.

Fortunately, Ye Tian had managed to place a piece of millennium ginseng root in her mouth. Though this was a costly use of such a treasure, it would steadily restore her vitality and preserve her life.

What a foolish girl.

The memory warmed Ye Tian’s heart—he had known her less than a month, yet she had given him everything: her chastity, her feelings, even her life.

To say he was unmoved would be a lie.

“Qingcheng, you treat me with sincerity. I, Ye Tian, will never let you down,” he vowed silently.

Hearing his request, Tang Long quickly bowed. “No problem. I’ve already assigned ten Sweepers to accompany her. Miss Gu has been sent ahead to the First People’s Hospital of Zhongdu.”

“Thank you.”

“You needn’t thank me. My godfather instructed us to fulfill all of Mr. Ye’s reasonable requests.”

Ye Tian only nodded, then boarded a helicopter, flying over the city to finally land at the Quiet Heart Villa.

Before he could enter, a clamor rose from the bamboo grove.

Dozens of people, bound tightly like rice dumplings, had been tossed carelessly by the roadside as if they were garbage. The Sweepers stood expressionless, standing guard.

The noise came from the mouths of these captives.

“Who the hell are you people? How dare you come to the Qian family and kidnap us—are you tired of living?”

A young man rolled on the ground, cursing loudly, “I’ll have you know, the Qian family is the wealthiest in Zhongdu! Don’t let me find out who hired you to abduct me!”

“You’ll pay for this!”

“Don’t your Sweepers ever announce yourselves when you do things?” Ye Tian asked, puzzled.

Clearly, these Qian family youths were still defiant, having yet to taste real discipline.

“Uh…” Tang Long looked embarrassed.

Sweepers only executed orders—they captured their targets and brought them in, nothing more. Announcing themselves was pointless.

Once the captives were delivered, the Sweepers returned to standby, guarding the old master.

“Answer me, are you all deaf and dumb?” the young man kept shouting, echoed by the other Qian family members.

Ye Tian walked over and stopped before the young man.

“Do you know who I am?”

“Of course I do. You’re Ye family’s stray dog!” Qian Xiaotang sneered, then realized, “So it’s you—hiring all these killers to go after us!”

“I’m warning you, Ye Tian, you’d better—”

Bang!

The young man was sent flying like a rag doll, crashing into a bamboo stalk. Agony twisted his face, and not another word escaped his lips.

“Too talkative,” Ye Tian said coldly, moving forward to stand before him again. “Answer only what I ask. Understand?”

“Brother, I was wrong! Please, ask whatever you want—I’ll tell you everything!” the young man wailed, begging for mercy.

To his horror, Ye Tian only smiled. “Suddenly, I don’t feel like asking anymore. I think you should die.”

With those words, his blade flashed—one head rolled to the ground, blood splattering everywhere.

Screams erupted, as the hot blood spattered the young man’s mother’s face, driving her into hysterics.

The Qian family men who had been shouting and boasting moments before now fell silent, not daring to utter another word.

This Ye Tian was a madman!

He killed without hesitation at the slightest provocation.

“Dispose of them all. I want to see Qian Wanbao,” Ye Tian ordered coldly.
