To prepare for tomorrow’s launch, here is the third explosive chapter today—I hope everyone will support me!

The level 7 Putrid Stitcher has an attack power of 20, defense of 24, health of 200, and extremely slow movement speed. It is a unique unit accompanying the Decay Devourer, usually hiding in the mire. It possesses both ranged and melee combat capabilities, and when submerged in the mire, it can automatically replenish health and ammunition.

The level 3 Muddy Skull has an attack of 17, zero defense, one health point, and moves swiftly but not over long distances. Also a unique unit at the Decay Devourer’s side, it typically lies in wait beneath the mud, exploding upon being attacked, with a blast radius of about ten meters, spraying both venom and corrosive fluid.

As for these two bizarre troop types, Li Bin had no intention whatsoever of integrating them into his own forces. Despite their impressive attributes, both shared a fatal flaw: they could only survive in the Decay Devourer’s shadow.

Li Bin had no desire to keep such harmful and self-sabotaging things at his side. If, at some crucial moment, all he had to rely on were these unreliable creatures, what would he do then?

In the end, Li Bin decided to leave everything to the Decay Devourer. He asked, “Decay Devourer, how about I let you go?”

The Decay Devourer was startled, its mud-filled eyes slowly opening as it replied, “You truly intend to let me go? I’m a level 13 unit, after all.”

“So what if you’re level 13? Your presence might directly reduce the combat effectiveness of my forces by about thirty percent,” Li Bin replied with a wry smile.

Hearing this, the Decay Devourer understood that its attributes were the reason for Li Bin’s decision, but he didn’t seem to mind. Instead, he asked, “Then, Mr. Li, what do you plan to do with me?”

“You know I can’t just let you leave for nothing. How about this: to the south of my territory, there’s a Poisonous Gas Swamp. I’ll give you a level 1 Undead City Core—help me guard that place. Once you become a hero, you can officially join my ranks. What do you think?” Li Bin replied casually.

“A swamp, you say?” The Decay Devourer blinked. “Very well, I’ll head there now. When you have the City Core, just send someone to deliver it.”

As the Decay Devourer slowly disappeared into the distance, Li Bin noticed that the previously level 4 City of Decay Graveyard Demon was beginning to shrink, downgrading into an ordinary level 3 Graveyard Demon.

Li Bin turned to Reid, who seemed to have an inkling of what was happening, and asked with a bitter smile, “Reid, do you know what’s going on?”

“I know a little,” Reid replied after thinking for a moment. “It’s an ancient legend in our city. It’s said that all mobile bases can only upgrade to level 3. To reach level 4, aside from special circumstances, there’s only one way: you need a level 13 creature of the same type to preside over the Graveyard Demon. And if you want level 5, you’ll need twelve level 13 creatures; for level 7, you need a legendary creature of level 21 or higher…”

After listening, Li Bin did some mental calculations, only to realize with frustration that although he now knew the method and had two Graveyard Demons in hand, he lacked any level 13 creatures to use.

Abandoning the idea of upgrading the Graveyard Demon, Li Bin did not lead his troops straight back to the surface. Since they were already in the underworld, he thought he might as well explore a bit—perhaps he’d stumble upon a rare treasure.

With this in mind, Li Bin led his troops deeper into the subterranean world. The newly acquired Graveyard Demon was left behind, as his Ghost Crows had already relayed the situation, and it wouldn’t be long before someone came to transport the Graveyard Demon back to Ghost Butterfly City.

Not long into the underworld journey, Li Bin discovered several small mines and a few camps for different types of troops. With no one guarding them, he quickly took control of these locations.

However, the deeper he went, the more enemies he encountered. Li Bin knew the tendrils of the Abyss hadn’t yet reached this far. After about a day and a half of travel, he suddenly turned to Reid with a grin, “Reid, is it true that dragonkind always likes to hide their tombs in the underworld?”

Reid understood what Li Bin was getting at and shook his head. “Not exactly. Dragon tombs are usually placed in places difficult to reach. Of course, some smaller dragon tombs are for exiled or criminal dragons—just like the place where I was once trapped.”

“Is that so? Then we must take a look at what kind of big shot might be hiding in this small dragon tomb,” Li Bin replied, smiling as he led his troops a few steps forward.

At that moment, a system notification sounded: “You have entered the domain of a small dragon tomb and are subjected to 3 points of dragon’s might. Your skill ‘Heart of the Brave’ activates, using morale to nullify the effects of dragon’s might…”

Li Bin smiled in satisfaction at the effect of his leadership skill. Just then, three bone dragons burst forth from the tomb.

Both Li Bin and Reid cheered. The appearance of bone dragons meant only one thing: the dragon tomb had become a wild bone dragon lair. By capturing this tomb, not only would three bone dragons join them every month, but all of Li Bin’s cities would gain a +1 bonus to bone dragon growth rates.

Li Bin was about to instruct Reid when Reid waved his hand dismissively, “Say no more. I’ll take this dragon tomb myself.”

With that, Reid led his pseudo bone dragons into battle. Li Bin, worried for Reid’s safety, had his own troops ready to support.

But the support was hardly needed. While Reid’s forces brought down two bone dragons, the third was felled by Li Bin’s Death Ballista.

Since Li Bin intended to keep the tomb producing bone dragons, everything inside was left undisturbed. After spending nine thousand gold coins, nine thousand units of negative energy, and three units of mercury, Li Bin summoned three bone dragons from the tomb.

He immediately left one bone dragon to guard the tomb. Reid, understanding Li Bin’s intentions, offered no objections.

Li Bin then sent news back to Ghost Butterfly City, instructing them to dispatch Wisp Slaves to clear a route to the tomb. Henceforth, of the three bone dragons produced monthly, one would remain to guard the tomb while the other two would be swiftly transferred to Ghost Butterfly City.

After settling the dragon tomb, Li Bin and Reid pressed onward. But before long, they had to stop again. This time, even Reid couldn’t help but curse, “Damn it, how come I never knew that dragons had a habit of building tombs in the underworld?”
