Chapter 3: The Grand Alliance of Green Leaves

"Mr. Li Bin, I believe we have already discussed the question of our territories between us. What is it that brings you to my land this time?" Disiya said calmly, though Li Bin could still hear the faint murderous intent beneath his words.

"Please do not misunderstand," Li Bin said politely. "I came this time for a mission, a mission to ignite the divine flame. It may cause you some trouble, but I can assure you I was not sent by your enemies."

"That much I can believe. Then can you tell me what your mission is?" Disiya asked decisively.

"Of course." Li Bin described in detail the mission he had received from Subiven, and promised that if Disiya was willing to help, he would yield to him the location of the statue that Subiven had agreed to grant.

"The third sacred site?" Disiya burst into laughter when he heard this. "I never imagined it would be in your territory. Very well, Mr. Li, I accept your request. But the location of the statue you promised me must be secured as well."

"Rest assured. If you do not trust me, I can have someone take you there right now," Li Bin said with certainty.

"That may not be possible now. You do not know that my territory is under attack," Disiya said with a bitter smile.

"Can you tell me what is going on?" Li Bin asked.

"Of course. But this is not the place to talk. Come to my main city," Disiya said carelessly.

Soon Li Bin's vampire castle was escorted by Yilisi to Disiya's main city, the Blood Domain.

It was a necromantic city steeped in vampire style. The city stood above a sea of blood, and the entire place exuded an ancient yet luxurious air. Outside the city, about twenty vampire castles were also anchored above that crimson expanse.

After parking the vampire castle, Li Bin was invited into the Blood Domain. According to Disiya, the Blood Domain was divided into upper and lower layers. The upper layer was the castle-like city they were now standing in, where the common people lived and the troops trained. There one could see vast numbers of blood thralls and all manner of vampire units.

The lower layer was the sea of blood beneath their feet. Disiya said this blood sea was the negative energy most commonly used by vampires, a force they called the Bloody Elegance. Beneath it lay Disiya's magic tower, research chambers, and the training grounds for elite troops.

By Disiya's own account, without a guide it was utterly impossible to enter the blood sea on one's own. Even if a great angel came, he would be reduced to blood water in the sea and transformed into energy.

Hearing this, Li Bin silently began to calculate in his mind. He too wanted such a secret research base, one that others could see but never obtain.

As he thought, Li Bin and the others arrived at a separate building standing above the blood sea: the city hall of the Blood Domain.

In the city hall's meeting room, Disiya explained the situation to Li Bin. Opposing Disiya was an organization called the Grand Alliance of Green Leaves Everywhere. This organization allowed anyone, whether player or NPC hero, so long as they commanded elven forces, to join freely.

Their aim was simple: to turn this continent into an elven continent. To achieve that goal, they needed to seize the continent's three sacred sites, for only with the power of a god could they accomplish it.

And Disiya, who already held two sacred sites, was naturally their foremost target.

That was also why Yilisi had treated Li Bin as an enemy the moment she heard he was coveting two sacred sites.

After hearing all this, Li Bin hesitated before asking, "Disiya, there is something I would like to ask. Are the sacred sites really as important as you say?"

Disiya was taken aback, then laughed heartily. "So you're still a beginner. Even if you cannot learn these things from the VIP manual, you should at least have heard something from the heroes under your command."

"I never had the chance to meet such people, so how could I have asked?" Li Bin sighed helplessly.

At that, Disiya casually handed him a manual. On its pages was a detailed explanation of the sacred sites.

If one possessed all the sacred sites on the continent, a final ultimate enhancement spell would also appear. That was precisely the true reason the Grand Alliance of Green Leaves Everywhere had chosen to strike at Disiya's territory first.

There were also some lesser matters, such as the number of enhancement attributes allies of the worshipper could receive, and the question of whether sacrifices could yield divine troops or treasures. These were all minor issues and no longer within Li Bin's concern.

What worried him now was whether the sacred site within his own territory was also within the calculations of the Grand Alliance of Green Leaves Everywhere. Facing an alliance that even Disiya felt pressured by, Li Bin experienced fear for the first time.

Seeing what was troubling him, Disiya smiled and said, "You need not worry too much. With me holding the line here, the Grand Alliance of Green Leaves Everywhere cannot spare attention for you yet."

After thinking it over carefully for a long while, Li Bin suddenly raised his head and said, "Disiya, let's form an alliance."

Disiya was startled. "Why would you say that?"

"I've thought it through. The reason the Grand Alliance of Green Leaves Everywhere dares to act like this is surely because of its strength. You alone cannot contend with it," Li Bin said gravely.

"Even with you added in, it would not help. From what I can see, your territory is not very large yet," Disiya said with a smile.

"Even a small territory has its advantages. I would not need to worry about defending my land and could strike straight at the rear of the Grand Alliance of Green Leaves Everywhere," Li Bin said fiercely.
